Dr. Alec K. Tam

After receiving his Bachelor degree in chemistry and biology, Dr. Tam obtained his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1976 (a four-year graduate course of study) and a certificate in Advanced Orthodontics in 1978 (two years of post-graduate training) from the University of Southern California.

He has been a specialist practicing orthodontics exclusively since 1978. In 1988, he was certified as a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics - one of only 15% of all orthodontists in the U.S. who were qualified for such a distinction at that time.

Dr. Tam has taught orthodontics at the University of Southern California and at the University of Hong Kong. He serves as an examiner for local and regional examinations for advanced qualifications in orthodontics, and is sought after as a lecturer in the field.
